How do I print at the exact size?
Download the PDF and, in the print dialog, choose “Actual size” or a scale of 100%. “Fit to page” or “Shrink to fit” will scale the grid slightly, so a 5 mm square comes out smaller than 5 mm.
Is it really free?
Yes. Print as many copies as you like, for class, work or anything else. The site is supported by a small number of advertisements.
Where are my settings stored?
In your own browser, using IndexedDB. Your last design is remembered automatically and you can save named designs. Nothing is uploaded, so clearing your browser data removes them.
Why won’t my printer print to the very edge?
Most home and office printers cannot print in the outer 4–6 mm of the sheet. Keep the margins at 5 mm or more, or the edge of the grid may be cut off.
A4 or US Letter?
A4 (210 × 297 mm) is standard almost everywhere except the US and Canada, which use Letter (8½ × 11 in). Letter is slightly wider and shorter. Choose the one that matches the paper in your printer.
Can I make several pages at once?
Yes. Set “Pages in the PDF” and you will get that many identical pages in one file. That is handy for printing a pad or importing into a note-taking app like GoodNotes or Notability.
Can I use the paper commercially?
You can use the printed pages for anything, including work you sell, such as patterns, worksheets and planners.
